Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) who came through the entrance of Makassar in July 2019 reached 1,478 visits. The number of foreign tourists increased by 5.72 percent when compared with the number of foreign tourists in June 2019 which reached 1,398 visits. Meanwhile, when compared to July 2018 there was a decrease of 5.62 percent which the number of visits in July 2018 was 1,566 visits.

· Room occupancy rate (TPK) of star classification hotels in South Sulawesi in July 2019 rose 11.52 points compared to TPK in June 2019, ie from 43.33 percent in June 2019 to 54.85 percent in July 2019. When compared to July 2018, the ROR of star-rated hotels in July 2019 rose by 0.43 points where in July 2018 it was 54.42 percent.

· The average length of stay of foreign and domestic guests at star classification hotels in South Sulawesi during July 2019 was 3.30 days and 1.59 days respectively
