Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) who came through the entrance of Makassar in September 2019 reached 1,517 visits. The number of foreign tourists decreased by 23.62 percent when compared with the number of foreign tourists in August 2019 which reached 1,986 visits. Meanwhile, when compared with September 2018 there was an increase of 18.42 percent which the number of visits in August 2018 amounted to 1,281 visits.

· Room occupancy rate (TPK) of star classification hotels in South Sulawesi in September 2019 rose 6.95 points compared to TPK in August 2019, ie from 49.60 percent in August 2019 to 56.55 percent in September 2019. When compared to September 2018, the ROR of hotels star classification in September 2019 rose 6.46 points where in September 2018 amounted to 50.09 percent.

· The average length of stay of foreign and domestic guests at star classification hotels in South Sulawesi during September 2019 were 2.60 days and 1.93 days respectively
