Abstract

• The value of exports shipped through the port of South Sulawesi in July 2019 was recorded at US $ 97.10 Million. This figure has increased by 1.43 percent when compared to the value of exports in June 2019 which reached US $ 95.73 Million. In contrast, the achievements in July 2019 were recorded to have decreased by 13.12 percent from the same month the previous year which reached US $ 111.77 Million.

• Five main commodities exported in July 2019, namely nickel; oily seeds and medicinal plants; iron and steel; salt, sulfur and lime; and lak, gum and resin with a percentage distribution of 63.85 percent, 9.88 percent, 6.50 percent, 6.47 percent and 3.74 percent, respectively.

• Most exports in July 2019 were directed to Japan, China, Australia, South Korea and Taiwan with the proportions of 66.76 percent, 21.64 percent, 5.49 percent, 2.28 percent and 1.06 percent respectively .
