Abstract

The export value shipped through ports in South Sulawesi in March 2025 was recorded at US$105.68 million. This figure represents a decrease of 26.34 percent compared to the export value in February 2025, which reached US$143.47 million. Furthermore, the March 2025 export value declined by 40.33 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, which stood at US$177.11 million.
The five main commodity groups exported in March 2025 were nickel (56.22 percent), iron and steel (17.36 percent), oil seeds (8.43 percent), salt, sulfur, and lime (5.60 percent), and shellac, resins, and gums (3.29 percent).
Most of the exports in March 2025 were destined for Japan (58.00 percent), China (32.61 percent), Taiwan (2.12 percent), Bangladesh (1.95 percent), and Vietnam (1.70 percent).
