Abstract

The export value shipped through ports in South Sulawesi in February 2025 reached US$143.47 million. This figure represents an increase of 15.57 percent compared to exports in January 2025, which were recorded at US$124.14 million. Furthermore, the export value in February 2025 rose by 5.87 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, which was only US$135.52 million.
The five main commodity groups exported in February 2025 were nickel; iron and steel; cocoa/chocolate; oil seeds; and fish and shrimp, with percentage distributions of 57.39 percent; 22.52 percent; 5.36 percent; 4.92 percent; and 2.64 percent, respectively.
Most of the exports in February 2025 were destined for Japan, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and South Korea, with respective shares of 59.22 percent; 35.64 percent; 2.00 percent; 1.65 percent; and 0.98 percent.
