Abstract

The South Sulawesi Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in Quarter II-2019 was very encouraging with a value of 133.37, meaning that the economic condition of consumers in South Sulawesi in this quarter went better (improved) compared to the previous quarter. Consumers are optimistic about facing the South Sulawesi economy with a level of optimism that is also higher than the previous quarter. Nationally, the value of ITK South Sulawesi in this quarter is ranked 2.

• Increased consumer optimism is reflected in the three factors forming ITK which have increased in value compared to the previous quarter.

• In general, the economic condition of consumers in the provinces in Sulawesi also improved relative to the previous quarter. With all ITK numbers above 100, Sulawesi people are optimistic from the previous quarter in view of economic stability.

· The estimated value of the South Sulawesi ITK in Quarter III-2019 is 104.02, which means that the economic condition of consumers in the next quarter is still going well, although the level of optimism is lower than this quarter.

Most of the provinces in Sulawesi have a prediction of rising ITK with an ITK score above 100.
