Manufacturing Industry Production Growth Quarter II of 2019 Sulawesi Selatan

Abstract

• The growth of quarterly (q to q) large and medium manufacturing industry production in the second quarter of 2019 decreased by 4.89 percent against the first quarter of 2019. South Sulawesi was below the national growth rate which fell 1.91 percent.

• Growth in the production of large and medium manufacturing industries (y on y) in the second quarter of 2019 increased by 7.69 percent against the second quarter of 2018. The achievement of South Sulawesi was above the national growth of 3.62 percent in the same period.

• Growth in the production of the micro and small manufacturing industries in the second quarter of 2019 (q to q) increased by 0.94 percent compared to the first quarter of 2019, above the national growth which rose by 0.24 percent.

• Growth in the production of micro and small manufacturing industries (y on y) in the second quarter of 2019 increased by 17.72 percent from the second quarter of 2018. The achievement of this growth placed South Sulawesi above the national growth rate which grew by 5.52 percent.
