INDONESIAN DEMOCRACY INDEX (IDI) SOUTH SULAWESI PROVINCE 2019

The preparation of the Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) for the Province of South Sulawesi has been carried out every year since 2009 in cooperation with the Central Statistics Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPS RI), the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Kemenkopolhukam), the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Home Affairs (Ministry of Home Affairs). IDI was first developed in 2007 and was initiated by Bappenas and UNDP as an embryo to measure the performance of democracy. From 2009 to 2019, IDI is calculated using the same concept and methodology so that it can be meaningful as changes over time. IDI of South Sulawesi Province is an index that can provides an overview of the reality of democratic conditions that occur in South Sulawesi Province. The results of the preparation of the Provincial IDI which are carried out every year are intended to provide benefits for political development planning at the provincial level of South Sulawesi.
