Abstract

Political development since the reform era has developed rapidly. This is reflected in the number of political parties participating in the elections and the increasingly balanced roles of the executive and legislative bodies. In addition, the existence of regional autonomy and the implementation of direct regional head elections has made politics in Indonesia more dynamic. The dynamics that occur in the political world have an impact on other fields, especially the security sector. Politics and security are intertwined with each other. One time politics affects security and the next time security affects politics. These dynamic political and security developments require tools for monitoring. Therefore, it is necessary to have data that can be used to monitor political and security dynamics. The 2019 South Sulawesi Province Political and Security Statistics is the result of compilation of secondary data obtained from agencies / agencies related in the district / city and province.
