Abstract

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is one set of economic data that can be used to evaluate the economic development performance of a region (province and district / city). This data tool can also be used for other purposes and purposes, such as the basis for developing economic models in order to formulate policy formulations, velocity of money, financial deepening, tax determination, export studies and imports and so on.

According to macroeconomic theory, the calculation of GRDP can be done through three approaches, namely: the production / supply approach (GRDP according to industry / industry), the final expenditure / demand approach (GDP according to expenditure) and the income approach (GDP according to income / income) . The three calculation approaches in theory will produce the same GRDP figure.

This publication specifically discusses GRDP according to the final expenditure / demand approach. This approach is broken down into several components, namely: Household Consumption Expenditures, Non-Profit Institution Consumption Expenditures that Serve Households, Government Consumption Expenditures, Investment (Gross Fixed Capital Formation and Changes in Inventory), Foreign Exports, Overseas Imports, and Net Exports Inter-regional (exports between regions are reduced by imports between regions). GRDP data in this publication has used the 2010 base year, and has implemented the 2008 System of National Accounts concept as recommended by the United Nations.
