Abstract

• South Sulawesi's economy based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on the 2020 current price reached IDR 504.48 trillion and at constant 2010 prices it reached IDR 328.19 trillion while the GDP per capita was recorded at IDR 56.51 million or equivalent to US $ 3,881.94 • The economy of South Sulawesi in 2020 experienced a contraction of -0.70 percent. From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the Information and Communication Business Field, which grew by 10.84 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth was achieved by the Gross Fixed Capital Formation Component (PMTB) which grew 1.78 percent. • The economy of South Sulawesi in Quarter IV-2020 when compared to Quarter IV-2019 (y-on-y) experienced a contraction of -0.62 percent. The highest growth in terms of production was achieved by Health Services and Social Activities which grew 22.98 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth was achieved by the Gross Fixed Capital Formation Component (PMTB) which grew by 5.02 percent. • The economy of South Sulawesi in Quarter IV-2020 contracted -4.98 percent when compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). The highest growth in terms of production was achieved by Transportation and Warehousing which grew 19.68 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth was achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-P), which grew 36.41 percent.
