January 2020, South Sulawesi's exports fell 42.55 percent compared to December 2019

Abstract

• The value of exports shipped through the port of South Sulawesi in January 2020 was recorded at US $ 70.67 Million. This figure has decreased by 42.55 percent when compared to the value of exports in December 2020 which reached US $ 123.00 Million. Meanwhile, achievements in January 2020 recorded an increase of 10.19 percent from the same month the previous year which reached US $ 64.13 Million.
• The five main commodities exported in January 2020 are Nickel; Lak, Gum and Rosin; Fish, Shrimp and Other Non-vertebrate Water Animals; Oily Grains and Medicinal Plants; and Iron and Steel; with the percentage distribution of 76.93 percent, 6.39 percent, 3.20 percent, 2.61 percent and 2.34 percent, respectively.
• Most exports in January 2020 were directed to Japan, China, Vietnam, Timor Leste and the Philippines with the proportions of 79.66 percent, 11.03 percent, 1.72 percent, 1.61 percent and 1.23 respectively percent.
