Abstract

The economy of South Sulawesi based on the magnitude of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on the current price in the first half of 2019 reached Rp 245.14 trillion and at the base of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 160.81 trillion.

· South Sulawesi economy in semester I-2019 (c-to-c) grew 7.01 percent. From the production side, growth was driven by almost all business sectors with the highest growth in the Information and Communication Business Field at 13.19 percent. On the expenditure side, the highest growth was achieved by the LNPRT Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-LNPRT) which grew by 45.04 percent.

• The economy of South Sulawesi in quarter II-2019 compared to quarter II-2018 grew 7.46 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, growth was driven by almost all business fields, where the highest growth was achieved by the Information and Communication Business Field at 13.24 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the LNPRT Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-LNPRT) which grew 51.69 percent.

• South Sulawesi Economy Quarter II-2019 compared to the previous quarter increased by 6.78 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Business Fields, which grew 13.53 percent. While in terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-P) which grew by 66.87 percent.2
