Abstract

The export value sent through the port of Sulawesi Selatan in May 2019 was recorded at US $ 103.54 Million. This figure has increased by 45.78 percent compared to the export value in April 2019 which reached US $ 71.02 million. In line with that, the achievement of May 2019 was recorded to have decreased by 2.02 percent from the condition of the same month the previous year which reached US $ 105.67 million.

• The five main commodities exported in May 2019 are nickel; oily grains and medicinal plants; salt, sulfur and lime; iron and steel; and lak, sap and resin with a percentage distribution of 64.22 percent, 12.41 percent, 6.08 percent, 5.13 percent and 3.44 percent, respectively.

• Most exports in May 2019 were directed to Japan, China, the Philippines, Malaysia and Australia with a proportion of 66.77 percent, 24.93 percent, 2.54 percent, 2.51 percent and 1.97 percent respectively.
