South Sulawesi BPS Holds BRS Release February 3 2025 - Inflation, NTP, Export Import, Transportation, Tourism

South Sulawesi BPS released the development of several strategic data, namely inflation in January 2025, Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in January 2025, tourism in December 2024, transportation in December 2024, and exports and imports in November 2024.

INFLATION -> In January 2025 there was month to month (m-to-m) deflation in South Sulawesi of 0.75 percent with a Consumer Price Index of 105.46. The main commodities contributing to deflation (m-to-m) in January 2025 include electricity rates, shallots, air transportation, anchovies and bananas.

NTP -> The Combined NTP for South Sulawesi Province in January 2025 was 123.38 or an increase of 1.95 percent compared to the NTP in December 2024 of 121.01.

TOURISM -> Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in South Sulawesi in December 2024 (52.39 percent) decreased by 1.85 points compared to November 2024 (54.24 percent).

TRANSPORTATION -> The number of passengers arriving via domestic flights in December 2024 increased by 21.51 percent compared to November 2024.

EXPORT IMPORT -> The value of exports sent through ports in South Sulawesi in December 2024 will reach US$170.47 million. The value of imported goods unloaded through several ports in South Sulawesi Province in December 2024 reached US$140.27 million.
