How to Hits Read Data Using Metabase

BPS South Sulawesi Province held Data Visualization Training Using Metabase with the theme "How to Get Hits Reading Data" on Thursday, 19 December 2024. This activity was carried out online with resource persons from the IPDS BPS South Sulawesi Province Dissemination and Statistics Services (DLS) Team, Darul Larasati. P, S.Tr.Stat. The activity was opened by the Head of BPS South Sulawesi Province, Aryanto, S.Si., M.M. The event was attended by representatives from South Sulawesi Province BPS and Regency/City BPS throughout South Sulawesi plus Statistics Corner Agents with a total of 85 training participants. This training activity aims to provide an introduction to the website-based data visualization tool, namely METABASE. Apart from that, this training also aims to improve participants' skills in processing and presenting data effectively.

Metabase itself is an open source data visualization tool that is currently under development by TIM SIS. With this training, it is hoped that it will be able to increase the competence of BPS employees, especially in South Sulawesi. Because as time progresses, the challenges that BPS will face will become increasingly diverse. BPS is required to be able to present the resulting data products in an up-to-date, real-time, attractive and easy-to-understand manner. Of course, this informative and interactive data visualization will support stakeholders in making data-based decisions. Apart from presenting the material, participants also had the opportunity to take part in an interactive question and answer session. As a form of appreciation, participants also receive an e-certificate which can be used for future career development.
