Competency test

Competency Examination is a mandatory requirement that must be passed by a functional official as both a functional statistician and a computer institution to move up to the above level of office, with the stipulated credit score. On Tuesday, June 16, 2020 as many as 23 functional officials consisting of 22 people from the Central Statistics Agency in South Sulawesi and 1 person from the Ministry of Religion took the Statistic and Computer Service Competency Exams conducted by the Central Statistics Agency of South Sulawesi Province.
Different from previous years, amid the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak since the beginning of the year, the Computer Competency Examination and Computer Competency Examination conducted in 2020 uses a slightly different pattern by considering health protocols and effectiveness. Implementation of Competency Exams which are usually centered at the BPS Office of South Sulawesi Province is now held in 8 (eight) places simultaneously, namely BPS Kota Palopo, BPS Kab. Selayar, BPS Kab. Bulukumba, BPS Kab. Jeneponto, BPS Kab. Barru, BPS Kab. Pinrang, BPS Kab. Bone, and BPS of South Sulawesi Province. Supervision is also carried out with real time monitoring using the Zoom application.
Judging from the type of exam, the Competency Examination this time consisted of 3 types of exams, namely the Expert Statistics Competency Test with 17 participants, the Skilled Statistic Competency Test with 4 participants, and the Computer Competency Test for 2 people. The exam, which starts at 8 am and finishes at 11:15 in general, runs smoothly both technically and technically.
Head of South Sulawesi Province BPS, Yos Rusdiansyah in his direction motivated participants to always be enthusiastic and optimistic, and to work honestly to maintain employee integrity in order to implement the core values ​​of BPS, which in a broader scope could prevent KKN practices in the unit each other's work. Pak Yos also mentioned that there would be an internalization of functional positions according to the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia that in the future there would be a reduction in structural positions that would be replaced by functional positions as a form of organizational downsizing. Finally, Mr. Yos Rusdianyah congratulated the participants, because the Competency Examination was in line with BPS's plan to expand the functional statistics and computer staff according to ASN's competence.
